Venue Brand Experience Strengthens its Leadership in Sustainable Events with ISO 20121 Certification
Venue Brand Experience, the global corporate event and brand experience agency, has taken a pivotal step in its commitment to sustainability by obtaining ISO 20121 certification, the international standard that sets the requirements for sustainable event management systems.
With this achievement, Venue positions itself as an industry frontrunner, joining a select group as currently very few event agencies and production companies worldwide hold this certification. This milestone underscores its leadership in sustainable event production, elevating its commitment to an even higher level. Venue is not only leading the transition toward more responsible events but is also proposing a new model that invites its clients to rethink processes, select conscious suppliers, and measure the real impact of their events.
“Sustainability is no longer the ‘+1’ that sneaks in at the end of the list when everything is already locked in. Now, it’s one of the ‘main guests,’ considered from minute one, at the same level as creativity and operational feasibility. Together, they form the triumvirate that redefines how we produce events. And the best part is that, rather than limiting creativity, sustainability drives it, becoming the engine that takes us beyond expectations.”

The ISO 20121 certification process, which extended over 12 months, allowed Venue Brand Experience to implement an integrated management system (IMS) with the objective of planning and executing sustainable events, minimizing negative impacts while maximizing positive outcomes across three key areas: social, economic, and environmental:
// Environmental dimension: Ensures waste reduction, efficient use of energy and resources, sustainable transportation management, and minimization of the carbon footprint throughout the entire event lifecycle.
// Social dimension: Promotes inclusion, diversity, accessibility for all, fair working conditions, and positive impact on local communities linked to event production.
// Economic dimension: Requires resource optimization, support for local economies, transparency in supplier and budget management, as well as clear traceability of economic decisions made during projects.
See policy document for the development of sustainable events.Brands are redefining their purpose, their role in the world, and what is considered a differentiator today will be an essential requirement tomorrow. Venue has distinguished itself for more than 20 years by creating, conceptualizing, executing, and implementing end-to-end experiential marketing and corporate event solutions that combine creativity with operational excellence. This certification reinforces the company’s core identity, without sacrificing creative vision.
“The idea that sustainability limits events is becoming outdated. At Venue Brand Experience, we prove this daily: the more demanding the environmental framework we set for ourselves, the more powerful creativity becomes. Sustainability is not a restriction; it’s the compass that guides us toward more disruptive ideas. And today the industry understands that producing responsibly doesn’t mean doing less — it means doing better,” concludes Puig de la Fuente.
